Will my car rental excess travel insurance policy extend automatically when I extend my rental car hire?

No. If you extend your rental car hire, you will also need to extend your insurance policy.
You can extend your Policy online via the Self Service Portal before your Period of Cover expires (i.e. while your existing policy is still active).
The car rental company can not extend your policy for you.
